About Educator Franklin

Michael L. Franklin, Jr. has spent the last 12 years as a school administrator and is entering his 20th year within the education profession. 

Born in Los Angeles, raised in Baltimore and matured in Arizona, he has taught and or been an administrator at every level in the k-12 public system. Both his personal and professional journeys have provided him with a highly diverse lens in which he views education and the world we live in.   

As a proud graduate of Arizona schools, Mr. Franklin is grateful to call the valley his home away from home. In his spare time, Mr. Franklin is very active in the community as member of the Chandler Rotary, a board member for the Chandler Gilbert YMCA and Vice President of a local non-profit, Chandler 4 Change.  

Mr. Franklin believes his rigorous involvement within his community would not be possible if it weren’t for his parents who had the vision to move to the valley 27 years ago, his supportive wife and two amazing children who create space for him to take on various roles within his profession and the community.
